Getting admitted
Admission process
1. Registration
Bring a valid ID and, if available, your Ayushman Bharat / health scheme card to the admissions desk.
2. Doctor's assessment
The treating doctor examines you and recommends admission if required.
3. Ward allocation
You're allocated a bed in the relevant ward — general, maternity, paediatric or ICU.
4. Discharge & follow-up
On discharge, you receive a summary and follow-up instructions from your treating doctor.

Ayushman Bharat (PM-JAY)
Eligible beneficiaries can avail cashless treatment for covered procedures. Bring your Ayushman card to the admissions desk.
State Health Schemes
Madhya Pradesh state health scheme beneficiaries are supported for eligible treatments — ask our billing desk for current coverage.
General/Concessional Billing
Standard government hospital rates apply for patients outside scheme coverage, with concessions available on a case-by-case basis.

Do I need an appointment for OPD?
No — District Hospital, Sagar accepts walk-in OPD patients during OPD hours (Monday–Saturday, 9:00 AM–2:00 PM). Emergency care is available 24×7 without an appointment.
Is treatment free under Ayushman Bharat?
Eligible Ayushman Bharat (PM-JAY) beneficiaries receive cashless treatment for covered procedures. Bring your Ayushman card to the admissions desk to check eligibility.
Can I bring a family member into the ward?
Yes, during posted visiting hours. ICU visits are limited and coordinated with the treating doctor for the patient's safety.
